Left our homeland and family two years later for a “12-month” cross-cultural experience that has never ended. We’ve spent more than half our lives in Asia. Moved to Manila in 1990, launched and still lead Emerge Missions, Inc.
Moved to Northern Thailand in 2008 and founded Medialight Network which uses media and media training to help young people become disciples of Jesus and a powerful influence on their generation. 2024 begins a serious investment in the online space with Subsplash and a YouTube channel

Her passion for the gospel and people, combined with her fascination with media production, has driven her to pursue a career in media missions. Lidya's journey as a digital storyteller began in 2016 at Medialight, where she was enveloped in the vibrant family of creativity.
Beyond the pixels and screens, Lidya finds true joy in guiding others along their own storytelling journey. She firmly believes in the power of every individual's voice and is dedicated to empowering them with the skills to share their unique stories with the world. For Lidya, it's not simply about creating content—it's about cultivating connections, igniting inspiration, and interweaving the tapestry of human experience, one story at a time.

Kacey and Luis Barahona
Media Instructors
Luis Barahona, together with his wife, Kacey Barahona, co-founded Vision House, a groundbreaking initiative committed to nurturing and empowering children and young adults in Central America. With a background in marketing and church planting, Luis has applied his wealth of experience to promote and grow Vision House, reaching out to serve around 100 children in orphanages and a community of 25 young adults, offering them hope, guidance, and support. Kacey, with her expertise as an occupational therapist, has been instrumental in shaping the organization’s approach to holistic care, ensuring that every individual they serve receives the attention and resources necessary to flourish.
The Barahonas are now spearheading the development of an innovative campus designed to train the next generation of educators, social workers, and therapists throughout the Central American region. This ambitious project is set to enhance the quality of support provided to those in need, building on the foundation of compassion and expertise the couple has laid. Beyond Vision House, Luis and Kacey contribute their talents and time to various boards and community projects, reflecting their deep commitment to making a tangible difference in society. The Barahonas reside with their family, where they continue to be active members of their community, integrating their values of faith, family, and service into every aspect of their lives. Luis brings his in-depth knowledge of business strategy, branding/marketing, and community building to the forefront of social entrepreneurship, while Kacey’s skills in occupational therapy enrich their collective efforts to foster environments where young individuals can achieve their full potential.

Ross attended MediaLight 3 in Thailand in 2012. After graduating, he used his new-found media skills in different jobs in the USA. In 2015, he moved to Korea, and while serving on the video/audio team at a non-profit organization, he met his wife, KyoungA. Together, Ross and KyoungA have been a part of the MediaLight team since 2019. In 2020, Ross and KyoungA started their ministry of producing Bible study activity books for children under the name of Joyflow. Their books are published in Thailand by the Thailand Bible Society.

Nafkot is a documentary photographer based in Ethiopia, whose work confronts crucial issues like gender, education, and Addis Ababa’s evolving identity. She is co-author of the acclaimed "Vintage Addis Ababa," a testament to her passion for preserving history.
In addition to her documentation work, Nafkot co-founded Studio 11, a versatile space that nurtures artistic expression. She is also the social media manager for Okay Africa the leading African publishing platform.

In sessions with Andrew, students will learn not only how to craft a compelling story, but how stories actually shape our minds. Drawing on his global background and specialized training in communications and psychology, Andrew breaks storytelling down into a simple, repeatable process that works no matter who you’re talking with. With these tools, he helps students draw from their unique personal history to shape messages that matter.
Andrew grew up in Jamaica and the Philippines and has spent the last 15 years serving with Medialight in Thailand. He received his BA in Communications, an MA in English: Rhetoric and Writing, and is currently acquiring his MA in Marriage and Family Therapy. You can find him at AndrewQuinley.com
